Romans 8: 1- 11
The Spirit Teaches Us.
1 Corinthians 2:6-16
Romans 8 is best understood (or even enjoyed) from chapter 7. Christ wants us to be “complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” through Bible Study. The Holy Spirit helps us achieve that. You see believers not paid, yet, picking up many responsibilities to keep the Church going; that is the great life inspired by the Holy Spirit of Christ. The Spirit-filled life is not lazy, or proud or argumentative. He just wants action because He is alive and gives life to the believers to function effectively in their calling to Serve.
We are free from the Law of Sin because the Spirit teaches us ALL things we need to know. You see, even that “very small sin” can condemn us to spiritual death. But the Spirit in us does not allow us to be intentional habitual sinners, instead He gives or leads us to a life pleasing to Christ. In 1 Corinthians 2: 11 “no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God”. Verse 13: “the Holy Spirit teaches… “, verse 14 “…..but the natural man does not receive the things of the Holy Spirit…..he cannot discern spiritual things”. We have to have the Spirit of God in us to discern / compute our Spiritual living. May we enroll in the Study Class of the Holy Spirit to learn and enjoy our Christian Life!
Let us take some time this weekend and check to see who is leading us. Is it our old carnal (flesh-satisfying) mind or the Holy Spirit-satisfying new mind. If u love God
old things have passed away, look up, all things have become new.
Prayer:
O Spirit of God, introduce Yourself anew to me so I can enjoy Your help and teaching as I grow in my Christian Journey in Jesus Name. Amen.
