Freedom Proclaimed

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

Isaiah 61:1-3

Isaiah the prophet was given the prophecy that the Messiah would proclaim the Good News: to free the nations from evil under the control of Satan. It is very necessary for us today to continue this Proclamation or else we will leave many ignorant and that leads to their being deceived and finally end in Hell. Sad.

The Holy Spirit infilling at Pentecost made the difference in the Disciples’ Ministry before and after. We must ask boldly and intentionally for the Holy Spirit to fill us with the Zeal and Power to tell exactly how our faith is working out our journey to heaven and the Joy, Peace, and Hope it brings to a believer.

Paul instructed Timothy to “Preach the Word of God” always. If we relate to our God, He allows us to tell others and not keep it a secret. Even those who don’t believe will have questions that will facilitate a conversation. Even if they are not won over immediately, you have “planted“ a seed that another will water for God to give the increase.1 Cor 3:6

Brother, Sister, Myself, I forget when I’m not prepared for it; There should be no excuse (James1:25) that forgetting to do what we hear will remove the blessing attached to our doing it (I feel guilty here)

Prayer
Lord, may our joyfulness for your goodness to us, match our proclamation of the Good News to All. In Jesus Name.
