Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true
Acts 17:11
Many believers miss the important study of the Bible like the Berean group in Acts 17:11 “to find out whether these things were so” That’s why even the believing Jews argued with Christ about being free as Abraham’s children and yet “sought to kill” Him for telling them that the Truth would set them free.
This Truth is about liberating the unbeliever from the hold of the wrong master into the freedom in Christ: with the consequent influx of a new life. In this new life in The Truth, God’s Spirit guides us through life with Christ’s examples to follow. The peace of God takes away the worries because we have a Super Guide along life’s narrow Way.
So we pray the Lord that as we read the Word of Truth, He will “open our eyes to behold (Psalm 119:18) wonderful things out of His Word” in Jesus Name. Amen.
